The white button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) is the world’s most popular cultivated mushroom, valued for its delicate flavor, versatility, and ease of preparation. Its cap is white or cream-colored, smooth or slightly scaly, and the flesh remains snow-white and firm.
The gills are initially pink but turn brown over time – a natural ripening process. The stem is short and symmetrical with a ring, and the mushroom is complemented by a pleasant fresh aroma characteristic of button mushrooms.
Flavor and culinary use
The white button mushroom has a delicate and mild flavor that suits both classic and modern dishes. It can be fried, baked, grilled, sautéed, or eaten raw in salads.
It is perfect as an ingredient for pizza, pasta dishes, casseroles, omelets, and sauces. It is also ideal for stuffing, pickling, or breading.
Growing – easy and fun
The white button mushroom grow kit includes everything you need: ready-to-use substrate with mycelium, peat casing, and lining film.
Simply maintain a temperature of 14–20 °C and provide a little daily care – you can enjoy your first harvest in just 2–3 weeks.
One kit can yield 3–5 harvests, and the total yield can reach up to 3 kg of fresh mushrooms.
