The Jelly ear mushroom has many common names: Chinese black fungus or simply black fungus, Jew’s ear, cloud ear, wood jellyfish, tree ears, Jew’s ear, wood ear. It is a widely used mushroom in Chinese cuisine, which has no noticeable flavor but absorbs other flavors and is therefore commonly used in soups. It has a crunchy, jelly-like texture and is well suited for drying.
