Oyster mushroom logs are 20 cm in diameter, 35cm long, already inoculated with oyster mushroom mycelium. Logs produce crop 3-4 years, 2-3 times per season. Be sure to bury at least 2/3 of the mushroom pack in the ground.
Oyster mushroom is a very tasty mushroom that is quite firm, has a nice mushroomy smell and is not slimy. It does not need to be parboiled, but can be used directly in sauces, stews. The best way to prepare oyster mushrooms is by breading them like schnitzel. This gives them a taste similar to that of a parasol, making them even more delightful to eat.
