It has strong antioxidant properties and studies have shown that it also has anti-cancer properties. It is made into a brew or tea and drunk as an immune booster. It also grows in our forests.
Hardwoods about 45 cm long and 15-50 cm in diameter are infected. Aspen is best, but any other hardwood available will do. Every 10 cm, drill a dowel-shaped hole, push the dowel in and fill the top with wax. The pack is then placed in a plastic bag and left to grow out in a warm place at room temperature for a couple of months. When the pile has turned white near the dowels, 2/3 of the pile is buried in the ground, out of the sun.
